Original Pair of Stamped Brass Regimental Number "9" or "6" Insignia

Here is a great original pair of pre-Civil War to early Civil War insignia. These are the circular disks that measure an inch and 7/8 across. There constructed using gold gilded stamped brass. In the center it has the stamped digit "6" or "9". They would work the same for either Regiment. You often see these used on the sides of the shako style hat and also on the epaulet style shoulder boards. Each piece is in superb condition as you can see. On the reverse of each there are still all of the original brass attachment prongs remaining. A fantastic set of regimental insignia.
