Click on an image to enlarge
This is a beautiful 1-piece coat size Artillery officer's eagle "A" button. On the front of the button it has the eagle with the "A" in the center of the eagle's shield which denotes the artillery branch of service. It has an excellent original shank intact. It has the back that has a clearly visible "SUPOERIOR QUALITY/ W.H.H. & CO" backmark written in block style letters. This is a tougher to find version of this button. It is listed as At 65 in Albert's button book and as AY200A4 in Tice's button book. The face has fine detail and a very clear "A" in the eagle's shield. This is an excellent button all the way around.
