This is a beautiful original non-excavated 15mm cuff size Civil War uniform button from the artillery branch of service. These are a beautiful Civil War button. They have the Union eagle in the center with the "A" in the center of the shield on the eagle's chest. The "A" denotes the artillery branch of service. This one has fine detail on the face with an excellent amount of the original gold gilding down remaining in the recesses. On the back of the button it has the original back and shank intact. It has the tougher to find and correct pre-Civil War era backmark of "ROBINSONS . EXTRA.". This retailer mark is one of the tougher to find marks you will encounter in the style of button. Don't miss your chance at it. This is a very nice non-dug original Civil War era uniform button with a tough to find backmark. '
