Here are some nice excavated .69 Caliber 3 Ring bullets. When they rifled the early .69 caliber smoothbore muskets this is the style of bullet that they would've utilized. They also would've been used by some of the later muskets of this .69 size that were rifled when they were new, including the rifled model 1842 musket. These were used in the early days of the war by soldiers on both sides. Later on during the Civil War they were mainly Confedeate used due to necessity. These bullets were excavated in campsites and battle sites throughout the South. The price quoted is for one .69 caliber three ring bullet like the ones pictured.
