Here is an original ink autograph of the 6th President of the United States, John Quincy Adams that served from 1825 until 1829. This is an original signed presidential Land Grant that is signed in ink "J.Q. Adams." This is the classic single page land grant that measures 15-1/8th inches by 9-5/8th inches in overall size, the perfect size for framing. It is written in Washington, D.C. on December 15th 1826. The document grants "...the President Directors and Company of the Bank of the United States, and their successors in office, assignees of" Joseph Buchwater of Ross County, Ohio eighty-two acres of public land in Crawfordsville, Indiana. It still has the original embossed paper seal of the Land Grant Office attached at the lower left. Along the bottom it is countersigned by George Graham as commissioner of the General Land Office. The document is accompanied by a modern xerox image of President Adams.
