This is one of the coolest pieces we have had in a while. This is an original set of buckskin underwear. Yes you heard that right, a set of BUCKSKIN underwear. These were patented in 1865 by Colonel Hamilton E. Smith of the U.S. Army. These were made by D.C. Hall & Co. who were located on 86 Leonard Street in New York City. The are made out of perforated high quality buckskin. The panels that the pieces are made of are stitched together with an original tone thread. All of the original buttons are intact with a fine look. You couldn't ask for a better condition set for the age. It even has the size adjustment buckle intact on the back of the pants. On the bottom of the pant legs it has the string that was to be tied around the foot of the wearer. This is a rare set in exceptional condition and you aren't likel;y to see another pair offered anytime soon.
