This is a great looking coat. This is a double breasted frock officer's coat. We know that this one would have been worn by a soldier from the state of Tennessee. It still retains all of the Tennessee state seal uniform buttons. It has all fourteen of the Tennessee buttons on the front as well as the four coat buttons on the back and the three cuff buttons on each of the cuffs. The blue cloth of the coat has a pleasing ancient look with the mothing from age as you see in the pics. When you open the coat up you see the black lining intact as well as the white sleeve linings. The linings have the wear from age but still displays well. It also has the maker's label from the Cincinnati firm of the Pettibione Company. This tag matches the backmark on the buttons. This is a fine looking Tennessee coat!
