This is an authentic autograph of Confederate Lieutenant General Braxton Bragg (1817-1876). Bragg was a West Pointer that was assigned a command of the Gulf Coast from Mobile to Pensacola. He served as commander of Johnston’s 2nd Corps during the Battle of Shiloh. Then he was called to Richmond by Jefferson Davis to handle things around Richmond. Late in the War he served under General Joe Johnston in North Carolina. This is a 1 1/2 inch tall by 3 inch wide piece of paper. It has his autograph that reads "Braxton Bragg" in fine brown ink. Bragg has a very distinctive signature and it is 100% in his hand and is clear. The autograph has been framed along with an image of Bragg in his Confederate uniform. The frame measures 10-3/4ths inches by 15-1/4th inches in overall size. This is a wonderful framed original autograph from one of the most famous or infamous Confederate Generals.
