This is an excellent reunion medal form the Grand Army of the Republic. The Grand Army of the Republic was the veteran's organization made up of Union veterans of the Civil War. This medal commemorates the reunion that was held Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1899. The top bar has the Eagle Design. The lower medallion has the G.A.R. member medal image of the Liberty Bell design. It states that it was the 33rd National Encampment. On the back of the lower section it has the correct maker's mark of Schwaab of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the back as well. The pin appears to be original but has been soldered back in place. This is a beautiful designed reunion medal in beautiful shape.
