CDV of Grant's Vice President, General Henry Wilson of Massachusetts

This is an authentic CDV image of Henry Wilson. Wilson is best known for serving after the Civil War as Vice-President for U.S. Grant. He served as Vice-President from March 4, 1873 until November 22, 1875. Wilson was from Massachusetts and served in the Senate before the war and also served in the Massachusetts Militia as a Brigadier General. During the Civil War he commanded the 1st Massachusetts Militia Artillery and then the 22nd Massachusetts Infantry. It is a nice clear CDV of Wilson in a fine suit of clothes. The overall size of a CDV image is approximately 2.5 inches by 4 inches in size. The back of the card is marked Boston Photographer of Case & Getchell. It is a fine original CDV that will make a solid addition to any Civil War collection.
