Here is a tough to find tactics manual. This is an original 1870 Dated Indian Wars Cavalry Tactics Manual by General Philip St. George Cooke. This one was printed by D. Van Nostrand in New York and was printed in New York City. The title page reads "Cavalry Tactics: or, Regulations for the Instructions, Formations, and Movements of the Cavalry of the Army and Volunteers of the United States." It notes that it was written by Brigadier General Philip St. George Cooke with 60 illustrations by Lt. Colonel George Patten. All of the pages appear to be present as do the illustrations. The original had cover is present and you can read most of the title on the spine. This one has been used but was taken care of. The book measures 5 inches by 7-1/2 inches in overall size.
