Baltimore Retailer Marked Model 1860 Staff & Field Officer's Sword

Here is a very attractive sword! This is the sword that is known as the US Model 1860 staff & Field officer's sword. Most all of these model 1860 swords were manufactured after the Civil War. This one has a nice wide blade and probably didn't miss the war by much. The blade is full-length at 28-1/4th inches and at the base of the blade you can see the remnants of a Baltimore retailer etched into the metal. On the front side of the blade it has a name etched but I can't quite make the name out. It has the brass hand guard with the pretty Union eagle design. The original leather covered grip is intact and it has the double twist brass wire still tightly wrapped around the leather. The scabbard is missing in action but it displays very well from all angles.
