Click on an image to enlarge

This is a fine original Confederate States of America $10.00 bill issued from Richmond, Virginia on July 25th 1861. This is one of the earlier pattern notes made by the Confederacy. It has the image in the center of the eagle and that appears on many of the regular bank notes of the 1850's except they added the Confederate flag in the center of the shield. On the left hand side it has the image of the figure representing hope. In the other three corners it has the denomination "10". The note is correctly hand signed and numbered and is in circulated condition. In the center of the bottom of the paper it has the printer mark of Hoyer & Ludwig of Richmond, Virginia. This is the version listed as T-10 in Criswell's Confederate Currency book. The overall size of the note measures 7.25 inches by 3.25 inches. It comes in an acid free holder for preservation and display.
