Civil War & Earlier Soldier's Belt Buckles in Excavated & Non-E
MINTY! Spectacular Original Civil War Cast Brass Eagle Sword Belt Buckle
Click on an image to enlarge
This is a gorgeous non-excavated Civil War eagle sword belt buckle. This is the style that was worn on the sword belt of many Civil War officers. It has the beautiful spread wing pattern eagle in the center of the buckle. The eagle has the ribbon coming from her beak that reads the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". This is the pattern that has the integrally cast wreath around the eagle with the pebble grain style background. This one is in excellent condition and is as nice as you could hope for. IT has almost 100% of the original gold gilding from the factory. On the back of the buckle it has the original medium size keeper hook intact. This one even has the original brass belt keeper remaining. They are almost always missing. This is as nice as you will ever find.
