Here is a very attractive gun! It is the gun that is known to collectors as the Smith & Wesson Model 1-1/2. They are designed to fire a .32 caliber rimfire cartridge from the full-length 3-1/2 inch barrel. The cylinder holds 5 shots. The top of the barrel has the maker's mark and production location of "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS PAT'D APR. 3. 1855 & JULY 5. 1859." The action of the gun cocks back and holds the position just as it should. The hinge of the barrel as well as the ejector stud are intact and in nice shape. As you can see the sides of the frame still retain a superb amount of the original factory bluing. It is much better than most of the ones that you encounter. On the grip of the gun it has the original 2-piece rosewood grips. The gun has the serial number of 13,632. According to the Smith & Wesson book by Neal and Jinks this serial number would have been made in the early part of 1866. They only made this version of the Smith & Wesson .32 caliber model 1-1/2 revolver from 1865 until 1868. This is a great looking original Smith & Wesson model 1-1/2 revolver with original factory bluing.
