Authentic Non-Excavated Insignia & Hat Plates From The Civil War & Before
Neat Looking West Point Military Academy "Souvenirs" Dated 1896
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a cool trio of pieces of history. The tag accompanying the belt buckle states "West Point Souvenirs". The buckle is the nice cadet style and it has the original keeper hook on the reverse. Also with the belt buckle it has the pair of chevrons from a uniform sleeve. They have had paper backings added to make them more sturdy. On one of them it has the paper label that reads "Souvenirs of West Point Day's First Chevrons worn by Cadet officer given to me when he graduated in 1896.". It has the name of the owner, not the cadet "F. Wilson, SMith, KY". You get all three pieces for $195.00.
