This is the oval shoulder patch that was worn by a member of the 8th Corps. The patch book states that they used this pattern patch while they served during World War 2. This one would date from the WW2 era because of the material it is made from and the construction. The patch itself is the octagonal design with blue and white color with the "8" in the center. The 8th Corps war. This patch from December 18, 1918 until April 1, 1968. This one as you can see was worn but displays well. it is a "no glow" under the black lite test. which means the material is correct for the WW2 and WW2 occupation forces era (1940-1950). It measures 2-1/4ths inches in overall size.
