Rare Confederate "C" Bridle Bit Rosette Found in Corinth From Harris' Book

This is a great excavated piece that is illustrated in the wonderful book by Charles Harris entitled Civil War Relics of the Western Campaigns. They are photo illustrated on page 78 of the book. It is an original excavated Civil War stamped brass rosette that came off of the side of a bridle bit. It has the scalloped edges with the "C" int he center of the rosette. Ont he reverse of the piece, you can see the four spots where the attachment prongs were at one time. This piece were found by my friend and relic hunter Conrad Allen of Mississippi. He found them in a Confederate campsite near Corinth, Mississippi as is noted in the book. You get this great piece of Confederate history for $595.00. This is a scarce original excavated Civil War Confederate bridle bit rosette from a well known collection.
