Neat Excavated Parts for a Civil War Enfield Pattern Military Rifle

Here is something that you don't see often these days. It is a group of excavated parts for a Civil War rifle. These came from an Enfield pattern military rifle. These guns were made in England and were used by soldiers on each side of the Civil War. Included in the group is a lockplate that has the hammer still cocked back after all of the years in the ground. Then it has the brass buttplate and a section of the brass triggerguard. After I pictured these, I found a section of the trigger assembly and it goes with the other three pieces. These were found decades ago in the North Virginia Area. You get all four pieces for $75.
