This is a great looking belt plate from the 1890's. This one would have been worn by a member of the "3" 3rd Regiment. The stamped brass plate has the number "3" made of nickel applied to the face of the plate. Ont he left hand side it has the triple loop openings. The overall size of the plate measures 77mm by 55mm. On the reverse of the plate you can see the original attachment keeper hook. It also has the small wire that holds the letter onto the face of the plate. They state that these plates were worn circa 1890 until about 1920. This is a great piece all the way around. ' ""
