Here is an original card from the 1909 till 1911 edition of Baseball Cards produced by the Sweet Caporal Cigarettes. These were inserted into packs of cigarettes to promote the cigarettes as well as to keep them from getting bent. These feature an image in the center of a player on the front with the name and team noted below their picture. This one shows Rube Marquard of the New York Giants. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971. It has been graded by the PSA, Professional Sports Authenticator. They have rated the card as a 2, which stands for Good. It is encapsulated in their casing for display and preservation.
