Here is a great display pair! This is the sleeve insignia from a soldier's sleeve. It is the cloth insignia that denotes the rank of the soldier being a sergeant. The chevron itself is the classic cloth style worn by the fighting men of the Indian War timeframe. It has the three stripes with the bugle at the top that denote the rank of Sergeant and the soldier being the bugler. They have the pleasing golden color with the blue background. The gold lets us know the soldier was in the cavalry branch of service. They are in nice shape and could be put onto a uniform still today. These are a wonderful pair of pieces of history!
