Beautifully Designed 1861 Confederate $20 Note with Alexander Stephens

This is a beautifully designed original Confederate States of America $20.00 bill. This is the 1861 issue has the image of Confederate Vice-President Alexander Stephens in the center. His image is in an oval and behind the image it has the cotton bales and barrel. These notes stand out beautifully because of the green and black in printing. They display superbly. This one is in very nice shape and is correctly hand signed and numbered. This is the version listed as T-21 in Criswell's Confederate Currency book. You see the "X" slits int he paper when you hold it up to the light. This is the mark that lets us know that the note was actually used and these marks are where the note taken out of Circulation. This process was known as cut-cancellation. The overall size of the note measures 7-1/4th inches by 3 inches. It comes in an acid free holder for preservation.
