1758 Dated New Jersey Colonial Six Pound Revolutionary War Note

This is an authentic piece of colonial currency from the 1700's. These early U.S. currency pieces from the colonies that would make up our states are a true piece of history. This one was issued the New Jersey colony. It is clearly dated from May 1st 1758. This one was worth the amount of 6 Pounds. Y In the left hand lower corner it has the image of the seal of King George. During this turbulent time the King wanted people to know he was still in charge (he thought). On the back of the note it has the attractive leaf design in the center. It also has the amount of value and the printer's name. The note was printed by Parker of Woodbridge, New Jersey. Notice how it reads boldly "To Counterfeit is Death". The note measures approximately 4 inches by 2 inches in overall size. As you can see in the image the note is in well circulated condition.
