This is an attractive original Civil War era powder flask. This one is marked on the spout by the maker "Hawksley". Hawksley was one of the premiere powder flask makers of the 1800’s and was located in Sheffield, England. The body has the floral design that displays beautifully as you can see. The flask stands about 7-3/4ths inches tall and is about 3-1/2 inches across. The spout is present and the original spring is present and functional. It is the version that is made without the hanging loops on the side. It has a very attractive overall look!
