Here is a good-looking and still affordable Civil War era pistol. It is a an original single shot vest or pocket pistol from the Civil War era. The sides of the frame have the ornate engraving that matches the work on the triggerguard. The barrel is 3-1/8th inches in length and fires a single bullet of about .48 in caliber. As you can see, the barrel has the very attractive Damascus pattern to the metal. The triggerguard and trigger are present. The gun has the original 1-piece dark wood grip intact. The mechanics of the gun catches crisply on both positions. This is a nice little gun that very possibly could have been the last line of defense for soldier during the Civil War.
