Here is a great looking gun. This one is a beautiful large bore single shot pistol marked by a desirable retailer. It fires a single bullet of approximately .64 caliber from the full-length 7 inch barrel. Along the top of the barrel it has the "BOND LONDON" marking. Bond was famous gunmaker and retailer in London. Bond is one of the maker's that was known to have provided long guns for the Confederacy. The barrel still retains a fine amount of the original factory browning. The barrel breech and tang are nicely engraved. The gun has the back action style lock with the engraved side. The mechanics work correctly on both positions. The lockplate has the matching and correct "BOND" marking. The hammer is the fine quality construction that is designed like a sea serpent and if you look closely you can see that the hammer spur has been restored in more recent times. The gun measures 12 inches in overall length. It has the 1-piece fine quality wood stock. The grip is checkered at the wrist and the silver inlay on the top of the wrist. It has the original ramrod intact under the barrel. It is the version that is design with the swivel to keep it from being lost. This is a great looking gun from all angles.
