This is a very neat matching pair of little guns! This is a matching pair of brass barreled boot or pocket pistols. These often served as a last line of defense for soldiers during the Civil War. You had a single shot of about .32 caliber from the 1-1/2 inch brass barrels. The barrel on these pistols are steel with the frame being made of brass. On the side of the frame each gun has the Belgium style proof marks stamped into the brass. Also on the sides it has the retailer marking of the famous London, England firm of Ketland. The overall size of each gun only measures 6-1/4th inches. The action of the locks catch on each of the two positions. The guns still have the original size trigger guards intact. The grip of the pistols have the 1-piece wood construction and each piece of wood is beautiful. This is a fine little pair of brass barreled guns from the Civil War era.
