Original Hand Written 30th Virginia Infantry Document from September 1862

Here is a hand written note from the Lieutenant of the 30th Virginia Infantry. This was written on September 21st 1862 and is so dated at the bottom of the document. Lieutenant Martin Luther Price was requesting for a Captain Alexander to " please let me boy..." pick up some flour and beef. The records show that Price enlisted on May 20th 1861 and was promoted to Lieutenant on February 3rd 1862. . The document measures 3-1/4th inches by 2-3/4th inches in overall size.
