This is a coo piece. This is a nice displaying Civil War cuff size uniform button for the state of Georgia. On the face of the button it has the famous great seal of the state of Georgia. It has the nice color to the brass on the front with the push as you can see . The original back is present but the shank is missing in action. It has the desirable backmark of "W.G. MINTZER * PHI”. This pattern of button is listed in Albert’s button book as GA2av and in Tice’s button book it is listed as GA203As1.
