Here is a gun that you don’t see offered that often. It is an original percussion model of the Remington New Model Pocket revolver. These were made from 1865 until 1873 by the famous Remington firm of Ilion, New York. It has their maker’s mark, production location and patent dates along the top of the full-length 4-1/2 inch barrel. According to Flayderman’s guide he states that there were only about 25,000 of these ever made in percussion. This one has serial numbers of 1,150. This would have fired the paper .31 caliber cartridge. The metal parts on this one have a nice darker tone all over with some of the original factory bluing on some of the metal parts. On the handle of the gun it still retains the original 2-piece walnut wood grips with a very pretty look. The mechanics of the gun work need work and it is priced accordingly. The gun cocks back as it should but the cylinder does not rotate. This is a very and complete New Model Remington Pocket revolver in the original percussion state.
