This one is a nice imported version of the artillery style saber. Usually we say that there would date from the 1870’s to the 1890’s. This one is different because of the blade markings. It has the engraved marking on the blade that reads "ArtA FabA DE TOLEDO 1877”. So the 1877 is the production date. The sword itself is in very nice shape. It has a 27 inch blade with a nice look. The handle is in excellent shape with a nice golden patina to the cast brass. The rest of the sword is completely unmarked. The sword is accompanied by the original leather and brass scabbard. This is an attractive displaying sword in scabbard for the money.
