This is a fine looking Belt Buckle from about 1875. This is the pattern that is illustrated on page #515 of the O’Donnell and Campbell buckle book as figure #869. It is the stamped brass belt buckle with the script style "SNY” in center of the plate with the letters being applied instead of stamped. The letters are made of Nickel silver. It has the plain pattern background. On the back of the buckle it has the original applied tongue and double applied hooks. This is a fine non-Dug New York State belt buckle.
