Here is a very cool gun! This is a beautiful early 1800's flintlock pistol. This gun fires a huge bullet of approximately .67 caliber from the full-length 9-1/4th inch barrel. At the breech of the barrel, it has the Birmingham style proof marks stamped into the barrel. The lockplate is in the original flintlock configuration. The action still works crisply on all positions. The lockplate is engraved by the gunmaker "THOMAS". The stock of the gun is made from a single piece of beautiful dark wood. On the wrist of the gun it has the oval brass inlay that has the initials "WD" in the center. The medium tone stock looks beautiful against the thick dark color of the brass patina on the triggerguard and ramrod guides. It has the brass tipped wooden ramrod in the channel under the barrel. This is a fine looking gun from all angles.
