This is a gun that has a lot of character. It is a Civil War production European made copy of a .36 caliber Colt revolver. It has the 3-1/2 inch octagonal barrel length and has been trimmed somewhere along the line. They trimmed it back enough that it got rid of the loading lever clip to it drops freely now. The end of the barrel must have been damaged. If you notice the major parts of the gun still retain the Belgian style proof markings. This gun was likely made in Spain but retailed in Belgium. The frame and barrel of the gun have a deep dark color that still displays well. The gun is designed with a five-shot cylinder . The mechanics of the gun still have spring but it doesn't lock up and no longer rotates. It is priced accordingly. The gun is designed with a two piece walnut grip. The Walnut has a dark ancient look. This is an interesting little gun that shows how many people in Europe wanted to copy the most famous gun of the day that was manufactured by Samuel Colt.
