This is a letter that makes you wonder what happened before and after it was written. This letter was written from the Provost Marshall Office in Virginia on June 10th 1865. It was written by the Captain of the Provost Marshal of Virginia, S.E. Reynolds. He states that he has learned that man names John T. Bray was to be arrested because "Bray and his Confederates" had stolen from the "Colored Men". Reynolds is calling for an investigation. The document is written in fine Brown ink on a single sheet of paper that measures 7-3/4ths inches wide and is 9 3/4 inches tall. This one definitely needs more research to find out what happened.
