This is the oval shoulder patch that was worn by a member of the 22nd Army Corps. The patch book states that they used this pattern patch while they served starting on April 6, 1944 to January 20, 1946. This one would date from the ww2 era because of the material it is made from and the construction. The patch itself is the shield design with blue and white color. The center of the patch has the pheon design to show the power and strength of the people in their corps to serve their country in any part of the world. During World War II, they were organized in Camp Polk, Louisiana and fought in the Rhineland and Central Europe. This one as you can see was worn but displays well. it is a "no glow" under the black lite test. which means the material is correct for the WW2 and WW2 occupation forces era (1940-1950). It measures 2.75 x 3" in overall size.
